Process Serving in Derbyshire, Nottingham & Leicester

We serve all types of legal documents in a timely and professional manner. All service is CPR compliant and we will supply evidence of service in the appropriate format. We can supply additional file copies if you require them.

We serve anything including but not limited to:

  • Statutory Demands
    on individuals
Our standard fee includes 3 visits and letter of appointment where required.
  • Statutory Demands and Winding Up Petitions
    on limited companies
We charge a low fixed fee for all registered office service.
  • N39 Order to attend court for questioning or suspended committal order
on individuals or company officers after judgments
We will make up to 3 visits to try to effect personal service. Where this is not possible we will provide an affidavit with the evidence you need to go back to court and request an order for substituted service. Evidence of service will be provided by sworn EX550 included in this case in the fee quoted.
  • Bankruptcy Petitions
on individuals usually following an unsatisfied statutory demand
Fixed fee. We will make up to 3 visits to try to effect personal service. Where this is not possible we will provide an affidavit with the evidence you need to go back to court and request an order for substituted service.
  • Divorce Petitions
where personal service is required supported by proof of identity
We will make up to 3 visits to try to effect personal service. Fixed fee which includes sworn affidavit.
  • Family Court proceedings and Non-Molestation Orders
    usually requiring personal service
Often the most problematical type of serve, and often urgent in nature, we expect to encounter difficulties and to liaise with instructing clients on a constant basis. An hourly rate is normally more appropriate to this type of work.
  • Witness Summonses
either for Magistrates or Crown Court
We will offer a fixed fee in these cases.
  • Miscellaneous Orders, Injunctions & Letters before Action
requiring personal service or in some cases can be letterboxed
We are usually able to offer a fixed fee in these cases which will be dependent on your exact requirements.
We accept instructions on the basis that we have been given the correct address for service. Any fixed fee that we quote will not include any element of tracing and where it is established that the person to be served has left the address given the quoted fee will still be chargeable. Whilst we will make every effort to effect service as instructed it must be recognised that a small minority of respondents will make every effort to evade personal service and in a small number of cases it may not be possible to do so within the fee we have quoted. In these cases we will always provide evidence of the evasion so that clients have the evidence to return to court and ask for a substituted service. We will never undertake additional chargeable work without reporting back to you and taking further instructions; you will never be presented with an unexpected additional fee.
Where sworn affidavits are required - as opposed to statements which should be acceptable to most courts in most circumstances - an additional fee is charged unless explicitly included, as with orders to attend court for questioning (EX550).

Before you shop around for the cheapest possible quote, ask yourself ....

  • Is the process server local enough to be able to visit more than once when necessary and at unsocial hours?
  • Is the process server a member of a professional body which interviews and tests its candidates before admitting them to membership? Which operates a complaints procedure should you be dissatisfied with the service you receive?
  • Can you be sure the service going to be done by the people you are engaging or are they just going to sub-contract it out to the lowest bidder?
  • Can you be sure the process server who will actually perform your service is covered by a professional indemnity insurance should anything go wrong?

In our case all the answers are "Yes".
