Harassment

It seems to be increasingly the case in today's society that people find themselves subject to harassment by neighbours, ex-partners, workmates, or even complete strangers. Many people suffer this kind of harassment for years before reaching the end of their tether and going to the police in desperation. They then find that the police, or more accurately the Crown Prosecution Service, will not take account of much of what has already happened and want to "re-start" the evidential log. Whilst many people are obtaining convictions against their tormenters the criminal justice procedure is a gruelling one and the result often felt to be inadequate by the victims. One of the problems with police involvement is that it is an unstoppable juggernaut once the procedure has started. In reality a situation can sometimes be resolved without police involvement when the perpetrator knows that there is serious opposition to their conduct and that expert evidence will be available if they persist. Bullies often rely on being able to hide behind the claim "its their word against mine" to avoid censure. With our help you can change that balance.
